King Remo Music is an independent reggae label founded in 2024 by internationally respected artist Sgt. Remo in San Antonio, Texas. Built on a foundation of roots, culture, and conscious expression, the label is dedicated to producing, releasing, and promoting reggae music that uplifts and inspires.

Label History

Before launching King Remo Music, Sgt. Remo established Jah Yute Entertainment (2011–2023), which laid the groundwork for more than a decade of independent reggae releases. Under Jah Yute, he released his debut EP Life Is for Living (2012), the acclaimed compilation series Reggae SoulJahs Worldwide (Vols. 1–4 between 2012–2021), and his first full-length album Give Thanks for Life (2014). The label also released the majority of Sgt. Remo’s catalog, including Sgt. Remo & Friends (2016), Here We Come Again (2019), and Jah Neva Leave (2022).

In 2024, the label evolved into King Remo Music, marking a new era with an expanded international focus, stronger industry partnerships, and a vision to amplify reggae’s voice worldwide.

Collaborations & Partnerships

Through both Jah Yute Entertainment and King Remo Music, Sgt. Remo has collaborated with some of reggae’s most respected voices, including Chezidek, Lutan Fyah, Ranking Joe, Fidel Nadal, Dre Z Melodi, and Gappy Ranks. The label also partners with innovative producers such as Kutral Dub (Chile) and P1 Records (Colombia), reinforcing its mission to bridge cultures across the global reggae community.

Reggae SoulJahs Worldwide Vol. 1 was the first release on King Remo Music. At the time the label was called Jah Yute Entertainment. Vol. 1 featured music by General Smiley (Jamaica), Mister Kali (USA), Sgt. Remo (Mexico), and remixes by Yahru El Guru. The album featured production by Ruff Company Records, Dread I Arts, and Ceremony Studios.
