Sgt. Remo is bringing us a summer dance anthem for 2023 with his throwback inspired single 1983. If you are not instantly moving along to the hypnotic riddim and infectious lyrics, check your pulse. Produced by Haffid from P1 Records (Colombia), this one is made for the dance floor. Recorded as a one-take freestyle in Mexico City, Remo delivers a hypnotic chorus taking us year-by-year through the first few years of the 80’s. When asked what inspired this song Remo states “this was a straight freestyle. I just had a melody for the chorus but no lyrics. It was supposed to be a warm up so I could record the chorus, but I sang what you hear in the song in one take and Haffid said it was a wrap.”

Sgt. Remo continues to blaze through 2022 with another anthem in the making. This time, Remo teams up with the bossman Lutan Fyah for Roots Rock Reggae. This is a bouncy, feel-good song with a rolling bassline, drum machine beat, and acoustic guitar produced by McPullish in Austin, TX. Sgt.
