Sgt. Remo Celebrates a Defining Year in Reggae: 2025 Marked by New Music, International Tours, Remo Fest, and Film Projects

San Antonio, TX — 2025 has been a standout year for reggae artist Sgt. Remo, who continues to expand his impact both in the studio and on the international stage. The Texas-based artist released a full-length album and ten singles this year, with three more tracks set to drop before the year’s end—cementing his reputation as one of reggae’s most consistent and hardworking voices.

Sgt. Remo’s touring schedule reflected his growing global presence, with a seven-date tour across Chile that showcased his high-energy performances and deep connection with fans. He also headlined Rototom Colombia 2025, a major highlight of his career and a testament to his influence within the Latin American reggae community.

Back home, Remo Fest 2025 proved to be an overwhelming success. The grassroots event, founded and organized by Sgt. Remo himself, surpassed last year’s edition in attendance, production value, and artist lineup. Remo Fest has become a cornerstone for the Texas reggae community—bringing together fans, musicians, and cultural advocates for a day of unity, music, and celebration rooted in authentic community spirit.

Sgt. Remo also made his mark in film this year with Texas Rockers, a short film offering an intimate glimpse into a day in the life of a reggae artist in Texas. The project features performances and appearances from notable Texas reggae figures including Soulfiya, Ras I-Dre, Alan “Moe” Monsarrat, Mr. Blacc Sheep, Kroywen, and guest cameos from many members of the state’s vibrant reggae community. The film is scheduled for release in early 2026 and aims to shine a spotlight on the creativity, diversity, and collaborative energy driving Texas reggae forward.

In addition to his work as an artist and event organizer, Sgt. Remo continues to champion reggae culture through Reggae Sessions Radio, his ongoing radio platform dedicated to sharing roots, dub, and contemporary reggae with listeners around the world.

Reflecting on his remarkable year, Sgt. Remo shared, It’s pretty crazy to look back at everything that we’ve accomplished this year. And I say ‘we’ because I couldn’t have done this by myself. I’m surrounded by some really talented people who help bring these ideas to life. I just try to steer my projects in a direction that involves as many people in the community as possible. I know that when we work together and support each other, we can build something greater than any one of us could build alone. Remo Fest and Texas Rockers are perfect examples of that.

With his continued string of releases, international performances, and creative ventures, Sgt. Remo’s 2025 stands as one of the most accomplished years of his career—a testament to his enduring passion for reggae music and his commitment to elevating the culture from Texas to the world.
